The resurgence of homesteading in America reflects a cultural shift towards a desire for a simpler and more self-sufficient way of life. Many families are drawn to the idea of homesteading. They like the idea of returning to a time when self-sustainability was a way of life, especially in this era marked by rapid technological advancements and a fast-paced lifestyle,
Homesteading embodies the principles of reconnecting with nature, cultivating a deeper connection to the land, and embracing a more hands-on, DIY approach to living. In fact, the appeal lies in pursuing a slower, more intentional existence, where individuals can take control of their food sources, reduce environmental impact, and forge a stronger sense of community.
As the yearning for a balanced and mindful lifestyle grows, homesteading has emerged as a tangible and fulfilling way for many to manifest these ideals daily.
Homeschooling
Many different reasons fuel the decision to homeschool. Therefore, many families embrace homeschooling as a means to provide a tailored education. With the evolving needs of parents and their children, there is a need for customized education. Parents want to provide for their children’s individual learning styles and paces.
Homeschooling offers Flexibility
Homeschooling allows families to create a curriculum customized to each child. This allows parents to incorporate real-world experiences and teach their values. It creates a more holistic approach to education and makes learning a fun and natural part of life.
Concerns about the quality and safety of traditional school environments are rising. Equally important is the desire for a more intimate and nurturing educational setting. However, there are many reasons families choose homeschooling. But the popularity is definitely on the rise!

Advances in technology have given parents access to many more educational resources. Consequently, homeschooling is more “doable” for families than ever before. Many, like us, were looking for a more hands-on and personalized approach to learning for our children. We decided to homeschool, and it’s working!
